| The Getty museum center is one of
the most distinctive architectural achievements in LA and
an excellent place to spend an afternoon when you are in town.
The Getty is an art museum that has its core art inherited
from J P Getty.
The Getty museum center was completed in 1997 and displays
Getty's collection mainly consisting of Greek and Roman antiquities,
European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, sculpture, decorative
arts, and European and American photographs.
The Getty center area open to the public consists of five
two-story pavilions set around an open courtyard, and each
gallery within is specially designed to complement the works
on display. The admission to Getty center is free so you only
have to pay for the parking. This museum is gorgeous and well
worth a visit
